Photoshop Test Run Evaluation

Evaluation
From using photoshop I learned various skills;
  • I learned how to use rulers, this skill will come in handy because it shows me which parts on my magazine page I can work in. For example, leaving edges clear to fit in my title.
  • I learned how to insert pictures, this will be useful because I will know how to open my own photos into photoshop.
  • I learned how to insert text, by knowing this I am able to create mastheads, skylines, main cover lines, cover lines and teasers. Additionally, I have learned how to change the colours, fonts and sizes of the text.
  • I also learned the concept of layers and that each text or picture I add is its own individual layer.
  • I am familiar with saving my photoshop work as a JPEG.
  • I have mastered the skill of resizing my work using a short cut – Ctrl T, once pressing that I have the choice of resizing my image or text in a various ways. If hold down Shift while doing this I can make my image bigger or smaller while it is still in its original shape.
  • I learned how to use the eraser tool and by knowing this I am able to remove parts of my masthead to look like it is behind my model or photo.
  • I have learned how to zoom in and out of my document using a short cut – Ctrl -/+.

I have now got a basic understanding of how photoshop works.
